ChangeKitchen CIC Cater for Ben & Jerry’s Launch of Vegan Ice Cream Range

In September, ChangeKitchen CIC were proud to be chosen to cater for the prestigious, ‘top secret’ UK launch of Ben & Jerry’s new vegan ice cream range.

Since June, the team at Ben & Jerry’s Summer in Soho pop-up had been offering the usual popular flavours of Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Cookie Dough, plus Soho-exclusive options like Sweetest Peace. The residency was so successful, they decided to use it to host the exclusive, worldwide launch of the brand new vegan flavors.

At the event, ChangeKitchen provided a fully vegan-sourced range of cocktails accompanied by savoury nibbles and canapés.

Luisa-Christie, Vegan Blogger said “On arrival we were handed either a pomegranate fizz, mimosa or non-alcoholic cocktail, before having a mingle and enjoying some savoury nibbles and canapés from ChangeKitchen catering, which was all wonderfully delicious. They provided mini vegan sausage rolls, raw lasagne bites (courgette slices with cashew cheese, sundried tomato tapenade and wild garlic pesto), and arancini balls (Butternut Squash or Mushroom), as well as some dips!”.

Dr Birgit Kehrer, Founder of ChangeKitchen, said: “we were as excited as every other vegan or lactose-intolerant person when we heard that Ben & Jerry’s were developing a vegan range. As a small organisation in the West Midlands, to be chosen to provide the catering at the launch was truly a dream come true”.
